Pickfords Removals accepts the responsibility of providing increased and improved employment equity through on-going innovative measures and openly embraces the philosophy of Employment Equity. We aim to guarantee a workplace empty of unfair discrimination and promote employment opportunities to previously disadvantaged groups of people. As such, Pickfords Removals remains committed to South Africa’s national policy of Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE), as laid out by the Department of Trade and Industry’s Code of Good Practice on Black Economic Empowerment.
It is for this reason that Pickfords has for the past seven years enlisted an independent organisation to verify their BBBEEE status. Pickfords’ current rating is as a Level 6 Contributor.
Furthermore, Pickfords is committed to promoting black economic empowerment in the removals industry through its BBBEE procurement policy. The policy aims to identify, promote and develop BBBEE businesses through procurement, therefore increasing the number of BBBEE businesses participating in the industry. Pickfords chooses its suppliers based on criteria including whether the company is black owned, engendered, empowered and influenced.
