Transportation of Electronic Equipment

Cartons and/or security trunks will be provided ahead of time, to enable personnel to pack personal items, confidential documents, etc.
Storage Facilities
Dust-free pallet boxes/containers and modern, fumigated, fire protected warehouses are available, should storage of office furniture be required.
Document Storage and Record Management
Specially designed document storage facilities are available with services ranging from storage of inactive documents to shredding, as well as express retrieval and delivery of requested documents. Special file storage cartons can also be supplied, should you wish to store documents at your new premises.

Pickfords is an authorized financial services provider and is legally able to act in an intermediary capacity for your short -term insurance requirements.
At Pickfords, we pride ourselves on our very low incidence of insurance claims, but because of the risks inherent in transportation, we strongly recommend our fully comprehensive, all risks, goods-in-transit insurance cover.

- Confirm office removal dates, including scheduling for execution and completion of every aspect of the office move.
- Check the availability of elevators and/or stairs at both the loading and delivery address.
- Parking and/or the availability of loading zones will be arranged at the loading and delivery addresses.
- Confirm replacement value of your office contents and arrange moving insurance cover through Pickfords.
Confirm with your suppliers whether any precautions should be observed when moving the following equipment:

Below are steps you can take to prepare for the move:
Advise the following of change of address and contact details:
- Disconnect all electrical equipment.
- Remove all liquids and/or powders from equipment i.e. photocopiers and fax machines, as well as from heaters, etc.
- Defrost and dry refrigerators.
- Ensure that all containers containing any liquids are tightly sealed.
- Provide Pickfords with a detailed floor plan of your new premises, to enable us to properly plan delivery.
